So I called to make an appointment with someone in the disability office so I could either get a referral or a diagnosis for autism
and the woman there asked me what I’m majoring in
I said English
and she basically said
that because I’m an English major
it’s unlikely I’m autistic
…

Get the referral and go back there as infrequently as possible.
